CAR RENTAL FAQS

Age requirements vary by rental company and location. Most providers require renters to be at least 21 years old and may charge an underage fee for drivers under 30. To confirm specific age requirements and fees, review the vehicle terms and conditions at checkout and in your booking confirmation email.
Add-ons such as GPS, car seats, and ski racks cannot be requested at the time of booking and are subject to availability at pick-up. To inquire about special equipment, contact the car rental company directly. Additional charges for add-ons are payable directly to the rental provider.
Yes! You can add your loyalty rewards number during checkout under the “Car Rental Loyalty Rewards Number” section in your reservation details. Just enter your program info and we’ll pass it along to the rental provider so you can earn points for your booking.

Keep in mind: while you can earn rewards for eligible rentals made through our site, redeeming points must be done directly with the rental company.
Your booking confirmation email will list the make and model (or similar) of your rental. However, exact vehicle models are not guaranteed, as availability depends on the rental agency at pick-up. If your selected model is unavailable, the agency will provide a comparable vehicle.
When searching for a rental car, select the option to return the vehicle to a different location. Keep in mind that many car rental companies charge a One-Way Rental fee for returning a car to a different location. To confirm the policy and any applicable fees, review the vehicle terms and conditions on the checkout page and verify details directly with the rental provider. One-Way fees are not included in your rental price and must be paid at the time of pick-up.
VIEW YOUR BOOKING Car

To view your car rental booking, visit "My Account". Once in your account dashboard, click on "Booking Activity" in the My Account menu on the left-hand side of the screen. There you will find a complete list of all upcoming and past reservations.

Pick-up & Drop-off

Pick-up & Drop-off Instructions

Detailed pickup and drop-off instructions will be emailed to you at the time of booking. It is recommended to strictly follow your pickup and drop-off schedule. Most rental car companies have very firm protocols and policies. Not picking up your vehicle at the designated pickup time and location may result in a cancelation. If you are experiencing any travel delays that may affect your pickup, please call us immediately so that we can coordinate with the rental car location on your behalf.

What to Bring With You

Most rental car companies do not accept debit cards to be kept on file, so always be prepared to present a major credit card and an official driver's license matching both the name on the credit card and the name on the reservation.

Car Rental Agreement

The rental agreement is subject to each rental car company's policy, and it is highly advised to pay close attention to the rental agreement when picking up and dropping off the vehicle.

Change & Cancel

Every car rental reservation is fully refundable as long as the car hasn't been picked up. For expediency, you can cancel your reservation online prior to the pickup date. For past reservations where the car rental was not picked up, please call our team immediately. Once our team verifies that the car rental was not picked up, they will initiate the refund. Please give up to 7-10 business days for the refund to be reflected on your bank statement. For reservations booked over the phone, agent assistance fee may apply.
For any cancelations eligible for a refund, the amount will be reimbursed to your card within 7–10 days of the cancelation request. If there were any brand credits (i.e. Vacation Cash) used toward the reservation, they will be reinstated and set to the original expiration date.
Payment & Receipt

Pre-Authorization

Prior to placing a reservation with the car rental company, we will always pre-authorize the credit card entered at the time of booking. A pre-authorization is a temporary hold to confirm funds with your financial institution. In some rare cases, a car rental that you are attempting to book may either sell out or is no longer available at the price quoted. When this occurs, no actual charges are made to the credit card. The bank will release the hold at their discretion, typically up to 72 hours after the initial pre-authorization is made.
